Paper 1:

Within the past three decades there has been an emerging concern for violence against women. It has been shown that much of the violence perpetrated against women occurs in the home and/or at the hands of someone known to the female. While many western and developed nations have been committed to the study of domestic violence, it has only recently achieved global priority. Although researchers have been more diligent in collecting data on various areas of domestic violence in North America, data seems to suggest that family violence dynamics are fairly similar

Paper2:

Domestic abuse in the United States is a large-scale and complex social and health problem. The family is perhaps the most violent group, with the home being the most violent American institution or setting today (Lay, 1994). Sadly enough, the majority of people who are murdered are not likely killed by a stranger during a hold-up or similar crime but are killed by someone they know. Not surprisingly, the Center for Disease Control and prevention has identified interpersonal violence as a major public health problem

Paper3:

“He would hit us with almost anything. His favorite beating tool was electrical cords. He’d use cords from lamps, the toaster, and the iron. He’d hold the lamp in his hand and whip us with the cord. I would have marks on my arm from the prongs of the plug that looked like snake bite wounds.” (Anonymous Female, personal communication, January 20, 2005). Each year over 4 million women report being abused (US Department of Justice, 1998). Are we doing enough to deal with the problem of domestic violence, or is it exaggerated?

 

Paper4:

The meaning of domestic violence according to Abraham and Humphrey. 2007 is any incident of threatening behavior, violence or abuse (psychological, physical sexual financial and emotional between two adults who have been intimate partners or family members. (P.17).

Take a seat and seat back read the research that will be provided about this topic domestic violence. This particular topic was chosen because of those that are living this life daily. Everyone has someone in his or her family that has endured such madness that occurs behind closed doors.  If it does not exist within the family there is some knowledge of someone who goes through Domestic violence.

 

Paper5:

This entire paper will be about domestic violence, and because of that I

feel it is important to note that “in most families men and women do not engage

in physically abusive behavior” (The Brown U.), but because the media feels that

it is their public duty to deceive us into believing that this problem is an

“epidemic”
