What is Computer Crime Discussion

Research a current case involving one of the types of “Computer Crimes” discussed in Chapter 29. Upon completion summarize your research in an MLA essay.

Four Different Types of Computer Crime:

– invasion of privacy

– unauthorized use of the computer itself (using another person’s property without permission)

– manipulation of financial, medical and other records

– unauthorized access to databases

After defining and explaining what computer crime, briefly explain each of the four types of computer crime referenced above. Then, primarily focus on the first, “invasion of privacy.” Explain this computer crime in depth, find a current case that further explains this type of crime and summarize the case.
