There are a number of ways to do this – search the internet for patented products and obtain the patent number, look around you for items that are marked with a patent number, or, my favorite, conduct a Google image search for “funny US patents” or something similar and look at some of the results to find a US patent number. Don’t spend too much time on this part – the main purpose of this activity is for you to learn how to locate a copy of the patent at the USPTO.
