Safety Poster (50 points) & Presentation (50 points)

Assignment:

Safety Poster: You are to create
an original
safety poster of
your own work
on a topic of your choice. You may physically create your poster or electronically create your poster. If you choose to create it physically, you will need to insure that you can take a good digital photograph of it, so that it can be turned in electronically.

Safety Poster Presentation: After you have submitted your safety poster, you can request (via email or by note on your submission dialog box in the Digital Dropbox) a presentation date choice from the following class dates:

February 25

March 4 March 11

February 27 March 6 March 13

During your presentation, you will explain the chosen safety topic, how your poster illustrates or communicates that topic, and answer questions. Oral presentation times for your safety poster will be assigned on a first come, first choice of presentation dates. No more than five or six presentations will be scheduled for each class date. A list will be created, posted and updated on Blackboard. If you miss your presentation date, a make up presentation time will occur in class on March 18, 2013.

Formatting:

Poster Size: Minimum size 11×17, maximum 24 x 36.

Software Choices for Poster File Submission: MS Word, MS Power Point, or Adobe Acrobat (PDF).

Saving/Naming Your File:

When you save your file, make sure that your name and the project number are included in it.

Example: YourName462Poster

Because of problems with Blackboard, please use only letters and numbers in the file name.

Due Date for Poster: Monday, Feb 4, 2013 no later than 11:59 p.m. on the due date. Late work, for the poster, will be accepted up to 1 week after the due date with a 10% reduction in value, and up to two weeks with a 25% reduction in value.
