“Five Ideas for Evaluating Technological Change”

. In his 1998 presentation at a conference in Colorado, critic and author Neil Postman, offered  a framework for thinking about technology. The readings are excerpts from his presentation. Postman said: “If students get a sound education in the history, social effects and psychological biases of technology, they may grow to be adults who use technology rather than be used by it.”
