SQL and data analysis

• The project itself is an open format, with the only direction being as follows: I am your regional director and have presented you with the following question: I am looking to improve this year’s performance. What suggestions do you have for success? Your task is to prepare and perform an analysis of this data to create a report detailing the opportunities for our firm. You will need to include charts and graphs as necessary to support your proposal.

The project must therefore use SQL, Python, and some business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Excel, PyPlot, etc.)

Don’t include tables in the report. There is no explicit minimum or maximum length for the report. The report must also be concise.

You will be more intimately familiar with the data; your task is to highlight the connections in the data that are relevant to our firm. You will also submit all SQL queries, Python scripts, and Tableau/PowerBI/Excel files created in the process of performing your analysis.

• Organize your findings, visuals, and recommendations into a coherent report. Ensure it’s easy to follow and understand.

The analytical process for accomplishing this task:

1) Reframe the question

2) What do we need to know to answer 1?

3) Where can I find that information or collect that information?

4) Organize the information

5) What steps are involved in answering or performing this task?
