Section 1: (25 points) Create a flow chart image
showing the map of the electrical activity of the heart
(begin with the SA node)
• Include each step the electrical activity travels as it
goes through the heart
Section 2: (25 points) Create a flow chart image
showing the map of how blood flows through the heart
• Include each step starting in the right atria
• Include the names of valves that the blood passes
through
Section 3: (50 points) Application
• Describe what is occurring in the heart (regarding
contraction) during each step of the electrical
activity. In other words, what does the electrical
activity indicate is happening in the heart (atria
contraction, ventricle contraction/relaxation, etc).
• Also, explain how these contractions lead to proper
blood flow sending blood to the appropriate areas
for oxygen delivery.
• This section should be no more than one page in
length (double spaced for APA format) and should
give detailed information about how these three
aspects of the heart (electrical activity, contraction,
blood flow) work together to serve our tissues.
• Include at least two references in addition to any
course materials.

something you would see in a presentation to explain
