and https://www.hhs.gov/aging/index.html to discover the facts and characteristics of the elderly in rural Alabama, such as Marengo County, Alabama. You may compare Marengo County, Alabama with the United States on the following.

· Percent of population over 65 years of age

· Number of women over 65 years of age and number of men over 65 years of age.

· Percent of 65 and older living below the poverty level

· Grandparent living in household with one or more grandchildren under 18 years of age.

· Where did the majority of noninstitutionalized older persons live?

· How many noninstitutionalized older persons lived alone in the year you looked for data?

· What percentage of men aged 65 and older lived with a spouse?

· What percentage of older women lived with relatives?

After gathering this information, make sure of the following:
