Domestic violence is a severe issue. As future caregivers, you should be familiar with the signs of it. Please watch the video and answer the following:

1. What were some things about domestic abuse that either surprised you or that you had not heard before?

2. What was the speaker’s definition of abuse at the beginning? Does this apply to just women? 

3. What are some of the reasons that a person might stay in an abusive relationship? 

4. What resources in your area can you give to a patient you think may need them?
