SMC Steel Contract Dispute Analysis Discussion

We are starting our introduction of contracts this week.  As noted in the textbook,  the offer is the first step in the contract formation process (see page 10-2) ,  For your reference, the topic of offers is introduced in Chapter Ten.

Please share a case decision example from Chapter 10 of the textbook that surprised you, you agreed with or caused you concern about whether an offer was sufficient.  For this discussion, choose one of the following referenced cases to discuss: Domingo v. Mitchell (pg. 10 -3);  J.D. Fields & Company, Inc. v. United States Steel International, Inc. (pg. 10 -5). or Kolodziej v. Mason (pg. 10-8). Prior to responding to the discussion, please review the appendix on page 1-29 on reading and briefing cases.  For this discussion board exercise, please include the following:

-abrief summary of the facts giving rise to the dispute,

-the issue (legal question the court is being asked to address)

-the decision (such as affirmed, reversed)

-a brief explanation of why you agreed or disagreed with the outcome. Your analysis should be based upon the evidence presented to the court.
