You are writing to request a letter of recommendation for admission to a graduate program of study. You took the course several semesters ago, so while the professor may remember you, he or she will likely not recall any details of your performance in the class or your background.

Be sure that your email:

· Follows the guidelines for emails discussed in the textbook

· Includes a signature block at the end

· Adheres to a word count of 400-500 words

· Has a clear introductory paragraph, 1-2 body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph

· Includes enough details for the professor to write a meaningful letter for you

· Uses Times New Roman, size 12 font

· Is written in a Word document and submitted as an attachment
