(What I found interesting in this chapter is the different
types of Mortgages. The different types of mortgages are
lien theory, title theory, and deed of trust theory. Lien
theory is “mortgagee has only a lien on the property and is
entitled to possession and rents of the property only upon
foreclosure.” Title theory is “mortgagee has the right upon
foreclosure to possession and rents on the property”. Deed
of trust theory is “title to the property is actually held by a
trustee”.)
