Selection of an organization for this assignment can be based on previous employment or a prominent company that has been featured in the news.

Once you have has selected an organization, you must “reserve” your company to avoid duplication. No two students will analyze the same company.

Once you have reserved the organization, you must present your rational for this change in a four-page paper (APA formatted with title and reference page not included in page count) with at least five, different cited sources. Sources can be books, journal articles or the following news organizations:

Provide a concise overview of the company’s history and culture, highlighting key aspects discussed in the Week Three lecture.

Introduction of Leader(s):

Identify the company leaders and their roles in shaping the organization’s culture. Analyze their behaviors using either Northouse’s Five Principles of Ethical Leadership or Daft’s 10 activities of a Moral Leader.

Organizational Issue:

Explain why the organization was chosen for a change initiative, outlining current problems and the impact of the proposed change. Discuss the leaders’ involvement in recognizing the need for change.

Current State:

Briefly describe the organization’s current status regarding the identified issue.

Risks of Not Taking Action:

Highlight potential future problems if no action is taken to address the issue.

Benefits of Taking Action:

List the benefits expected from implementing the proposed change.

Framework for Change:

Select either Kotter’s Eight Steps for Leading Change or Lewin’s Three-step Model for Change, based on the organizational context and needs.

Explain in one paragraphy why you selected the Framework for Change to address the organizational issue.
