The Fukushima disaster 9 years ago has lead to a negative perception against nuclear power plants. Analyze the fallout from the nuclear disaster and its public perception using your understanding of the effects of radiation on the human body and environment.  Are the hazards much less than what is portrayed in the media and in general public perception, or is the general perception justified? How many new reactors are being planned across the globe today? How does this number compare with the existing number of nuclear reactors? Cite your sources.
