Your Blog should address any of the topics studied in Week 1 such as race, ethnicity, gender, and social class, or the following points:

Explain the idea of social constructionism.

Describe how socialization constructs categories of identity such as race, ethnicity, and gender.

Define the concept of intersectionality.

Your Blogs should relate to and cite at least one of the required readings for Week 1: Ursula LeGuin“The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas; Charlotte Perkins Gillman “The Yellow Wallpaper”; W.E.B. DuBois “The Souls of Black Folk”; Marx and Engels “The Communist Manifesto.”

Please find enclosed an example of a student’s SOC 350 Week 1 Blog.  Please have in mind that this example is not perfect and has issues with  in-text and end-of-the-text references, punctuation, structure of  arguments, etc. Also, it is longer than what is required for this  assignment. But at least it would give you an idea what direction to  take with your work.
