1.) Plasma Technology:

a. Plasma Science and Technology is blessed with a wealth of opportunities and potential applications exploitable in Biology and Medicine for human health. The intrinsic motivation of cold plasma?related research in Plasma Medicine, Sterilization/Decontamination, and Biomedical Materials is to see its translation into Health Science. In properties of measure and matter plasma is the fourth state of matter. It is an ionized gas, a gas into which sufficient energy is provided to free electrons from atoms or molecules and to allow both species, ions and electrons, to coexist. Measuring plasma can be done by volume.

b. In my work place I use a few items such as, lysol arousal sprays,natural light, and lighting a candle. The state of matter involved would be an arousal sprayed into the air and measured per spray from a 12.5 oz can. The forms of energy involved with natural light from the sun is a type of kinetic energy that travels in waves. Lighting a candle is a chemical reaction known as combustion in which the wax reacts with oxygen in the air to make a colorless gas called carbon dioxide.

2) Plasma is becoming an increasingly common term within the field of physical rehabilitation. Commonly I have conversations with patients in outpatient physical therapy regarding the possibilities of Platelet rich Plasma injections (PRP). PRP injections is an injection of a high concentration of a patients own platelets to help accelerate the physiological healing process of damaged tissue. Many of my patients have received or considered PRP injections. The research behind PRP injections is promising but PRP is in need of continued research to further establish itself as a reliable medical option.Often used in my clinic is neuromuscular reeducation through the form of Russian electrical stimulation. Russian stimulation is therapeutic modality that uses an alternating current often as high as 2500mhz to penetrate muscles to recruit additional muscle fibers during muscular contraction. The electricity is sent via metallic wires through conductive adhesive patches directly to the patients skin, solid matter to solid matter.
