The Ministry of Environment Water & Agriculture stated that the total amount of food waste in
Saudi Arabia amounted to four million and sixty thousand tons, which is a very large number.
The percentage of food waste in Saudi Arabia is estimated at 45% for raw food and 60% for
cooked food. There is a need to work on an agreement between government agencies that are
unable to resume production and retail stores on how to use materials.
Think about a business initiative that contributes to reducing food waste and consider the
Information Technology as one of opportunities (i.e., utilize IT to accomplish the business
mission, goals, and objectives.). Name the business according to your wishes and develop a
business plan for your business idea. The business plan document should include:
