Overview This is the section where you will state the primary idea of your submission. Please be sure to provide the background of your study including any qualifying remarks clarifying what you studied as well as any related important topics that were not addressed. This is the paragraph that helps the reader understand the information you explored and will also help the reader determine whether or not you arrived at any conclusions from your research. For example: In this unit we studied the methodology for global recruiting. I focused on the automobile industry in the 1980s and how the Japanese auto manufacturers began to set up plants in the U.S. as a response to the trade restrictions. My paper looked at three companies over 20 years in 10 countries. The focus was on HRM techniques and did not look at financials. Surprisingly, there was little difference between the management styles in the U.S. and Japan, but rather a mirroring of ethics, regardless of what cultures dominated the manufacturing plants. Key Findings In this section you can bullet point the most important data and explain it. Insert tables and or graphs to illustrate a point. For example: · Japanese auto plants in the U.S. number xx and make up xx percent of the world market and xx percent of the U.S. market. · Japanese management structures are over xx percent represented by shadow managers who work side by side with local managers. · 3 companies, xxxx, xxxx, and xxxx all revealed similar structures, regardless of how long they had been operating in markets outside of Japan. · Main ethical principles honored by Japanese managers in these companies are: · Principle a. · Principle b. · Principle c. · The same ethical principles were articulated by the local non-Japanese managers. |
Conclusion This is where you state your opinions, conclusions, and the answer(s) to the assignment’s question(s). It is typically one paragraph, unless it is an extensive report.
