Single-Spaced, 10 or 12 character per inch font in either Times New Roman or Courier 2.This assignment is about weaving together our readings from Marger, Rothenberg, and Kozol. 3. This paper is an argument about the state of social inequality in the United States today. So I expect you to tell me that you believe we are not addressing issues relating to social inequality in American society. You may choose to do this in a number of ways. You may choose to focus upon education, racism, institutional racism, discrimination or anti-discrimination laws/enforcement, medical resources, transportation resources, etc. for your entire paper or you may want to give an overview of several of these areas within the body of your paper. 4.First, choose a subject directly relating to social inequality. This subject must be one defined and described and discussed in Marger, then you must find examples from Kozol which support your side of the argument. 5. Set up your argument with the thesis statement. This statement is usually the last sentence in at the end of your first paragraph (introduction to topic paragraph, which should only be 2, 3,or 4 sentences long). Please be clear in your thesis statement so anyone reading it would know what specific point you are arguing. Instead, this paper is the integrating the concepts from the text with the case studies/examples from the book that you chose for this paper. 6. Be specific examples from the course reding in order to support argument. Also to use sociological concepts from the reading within the paper as they are germaine to the argument support and when appropriate,you must use these concepts correctly within the context and body of the paper.
