In the last 12-18 months, there have been lots of changes in how pay gaps can begin to diminish. One of them is to not ask candidates their current salary. In September 2016 the state of Massachusets passed

a bill requiring pay for equal work (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.

. This made MA the first state in the nation to enact such a law other states are not far behind, but cities were quick to follow suit with New York City and Philadelphia both passing a law at the city level.

How do you think this will impact pay compression and pay gaps?  How long do you think it will take for equal pay to truly be equal as we see legislation passed to ensure it?  Don’t guess, do some research to support your ideas and theories.
