How do you believe the American labor movement’s early purpose and need has evolved over the years since The Inheritance?

Provide some examples of this. How do we see this progression portrayed in The Inheritance? What is the message from The Inheritance for labor relations moving forward? What is the dual meaning of “the inheritance?” Are the documentarians correct in arguing for this duel meaning? Why or why not?
