Chelsea and professor – I work as a short sale negotiator, with many demanding agents (Realtors). I learned from my former employer as a loan processor, that I have to learn to work with all kinds of personalities and attitudes. In all teams, changes are made due to different team’s needs. In my line of work in order to be effective, I must be flexible to adjust approach and behavior with each realtor based not only on their levels of maturity. Depending on the realtor and his/her characteristics and behavior at the moment, I use a different approach. I admit I have a long way to go, I considered myself a person with a strong personality, and it’s hard to adjust but not impossible.

Carlisa: Correct Clarisa, the effective leaders must know their follower well enough to make appropriate responses to the demands ever-changing skills of its employees at all times require. The leader must remember that the followers as individuals and as groups develop their own patterns of behavior and ways of operating base on their norms, customs, and habits. As the teacher in schools, the leader has to behave differently with each of the students, because they are at different levels of maturity.

Nicola- at read that a leader is the result of a group’s need. His capacity and abilities increases according to the group objective. Not all leaders born leader but become leaders by assuming responsibilities, making decisions for a group, and facing difficult situations.

Michael– Leadership is the ability to have personal and social power, the ability to turn an intention into a result . (Cartwright and Zander, 1971).

Leadership is based on the relationships between people in a particular social or organizational structure, and function of a number of individual characteristics. A charismatic leader may have the ability to convince a group to obtain results by knowing the adequate way to proceed but a leader within the company will draw a dream, that will draw others to see clearly the company vision.

Week 1-2 Leadership is the art or process of influencing people to strive willingly and enthusiastically to achieve the group goals.A leader should encourage people to develop not only a willingness to work but also the desire to do so with confidence.A leader helps the group to achieve its objectives through the maximum use of their abilities. He does not get left behind the group pushing or stimulating, but in front of it; facilitating their progress and inspiring to achieve the organization’s goals.

Autocratic: Assume all the responsibilities when making decisions and initiating actions. This leadership has small confidence in the employees, it motivates them but the final decision is made by the leader. No opinions and ideas are accepted from the employees.

Individualize:  Listen and analyze employees’ ideas and accept their contributions but the final decision still the leaders.

Entrepreneurial: Give authority to followers to make decisions and assume responsibilities.
