Introduction
Communication is very vital to the progress and success of any organization and therefore the presence of any barriers to it should never be overlooked or ignored.
Communication barriers should be dealt with immediately they appear as they can hinder the progress of a firm.
In this presentation, the main point of discussion is on the communication problems in firms
Thesis
Communication problems are some of the commonly known hindrances to the success of most organizations and therefore, they must be addressed effectively.
Communication has always been a determinant of any firm’s success. However, communication barriers seem to be the norm of most firms as they neglect communication and its impact on communication. This often leads to failure of most of these organizations. This presentation is an overview of some of the communication problems that may arise in firms and the effects that this may have on the firms in terms of productivity and turn over rates.

It consists of business managers for small, and large and public and private firms.
Business managers are responsible for planning and duties delegation in the firm
They also keep the firm’s financial records and are therefore aware of any progress or stagnation in the business.
Managers should therefore have relevant skills in order to conduct management tasks well. Therefore, education qualifications are a prerequisite to getting a position in the management of any large firm (Guffey & Loewy, 2011).
Communication effectiveness should be the concern of business managers
Communication effectiveness is what determines an organization’s success by a great deal
Effective communication helps by reducing the turnover of employees,, increasing production, and faster goal achievement.
Lack of effective communication often costs the firm in terms of inefficiency in duty delegation, production is affected negatively and also the turn over rates go down.
With effective communication, productivity increases due to the availability of specific call to action.
With communication problems, firms can lose important clients and customers and therefore lose in terms of sales volume and profitability
Managers need to come up with tools for communication so that they can identify communication needs faster (Luecke, 2004).
ANALYSIS OF THE AUDIENCE
Most of my audience will consist of business managers who work for both small and large and public and private organizations. Most of the business managers share the same characteristics. Business managers are bestowed with a duty of planning and delegating business functions to a wider scale. Business managers often supervise the progress of the workers and provide delegation to the work and duties of every employee. In addition, they also keep records of the organization such as the financial statements and other records that show progress for the business existence. Every business manager requires skills and experience that would help them to lead the organization or the business that they control. For small business, the managers should have at least tertiary education on the effective management functions. However, in large organizations, it is an obligation to have a university degree in the field to manage. This helps to give the business managers the skills and the ability to conduct management functions in business (Guffey & Loewy, 2011).
Business managers should be concerned with communication in their firms. This is because communication is the center of business. Effective communication helps to increase efficiency in business. A business with effective communication is often characterized with decreased turnover rates, high production and achievement of its goals and objectives. Business managers should be concerned with identification of communication problems so as to help in the improvement of success chances. When managers fail to identify the communication problems in the workplace, it leads to low turn over rates; inefficiencies in delegation of duties and even issues in overall performance in management often do arise. Removal of all barriers to communication helps to remove all kinds of misconceptions that might arise and prevent smooth flow of information. Misconceptions are very dangerous for the survival of business. Managers should therefore understand all the problems that prevent effective flow of information in the workplace.
Effective communication increases the chances for parties to engage in increasing productivity through specific call to action. The problems of communication can worsen the customer relationships thus prevent the organization from having effective productivity. Managers have the obligation to spend too much of their time communicating to their customers thus increasing efficiency and flow of information. In order to improve productivity, it is essential to develop effective communication tools for identification of all the communication needs in the organization (Luecke, 2004).

Understanding of communication also helps managers to understand the direction and the flow of information. The presentation will therefore help managers to identify effective ways that will help to improve the identification of information flow within a business (Ober, 2009).

It is the ability of the business managers to understand their customers and use good voices to highlight their issues. In addition, poor listening skills are also part and parcel of poor communication in business. The business owners are advised to listen to the needs of their customers since they are the king when it comes to business. Moreover, lack of trust is also another problem that leads to poor communication within a business. This is because the business owners are concerned with knowing the truth about the message deliverance within a business. Therefore, the main intention of the presentation is to help business managers identify the problems and the barriers that prevent effective communication in the workplace. This will help them to develop solutions that will help solve problems that have risen in business.

Most of business failure in firms occurs due to communication problems and lack of understanding
Seventy five percent of organizations are said to have poor channels of communication according to research by Harvard University.
In order to improve productivity in the firm, communication should be aligned well and any barriers to it addressed.
Therefore, firms should focus on improving communication if they aim at performing their activities with efficiency and effectiveness.
To gauge the level of communication effectiveness in your firm, ask yourself this; How soon do you know of any changes in the company that affect you? For example, how long does it take for you to know of a scheduled meeting between you and your immediate boss?
CONCLUSION
Many business organizations fail to succeed due to communication barriers. A research carried out by Harvard university students in the faculty of business shows that 75% of business organizations have poor communication channels. This leads to poor performance and even productivity which is below the expected. Some of the barriers to effective communication within business include using the wrong channels of communication to other people. The sender of the message should have the ability to understand the needs of the receivers and delegate effective messages through the appropriate channels. Poor communication arises from using the wrong channels to send and even receive messages between people. This paper provides effective solutions to problems leading to poor communication in business organizations.
