Abstract

A one paragraph quick summary of the paper goes here. It’s not an introduction

to the topic, it’s a summary of the whole paper. EX: This paper will analyze obesity in America. It will start by giving an introduction to the obesity problem. Next, the paper will research the latest demographics and trends in obesity. The paper will then focus on obesity issues related to different age groups. The researcher found that administrators play a larger role than expected when dealing with obesity. The paper will conclude by examining current best practices for healthcare administrators.

Obesity in America

Note this paper is only for how to set up a paper, it’s not an example of what you need to do to write a paper. Your paper should always follow APA format. NOTE ALL new paragraphs are indented five spaces on the first line. This sample is the layout and format and reference format needed to be cited properly in the body (WHO, 2014). Do not simply list out a website
(
www.cdc.gov/saftey) for example is NOT correct
. This section is your introduction and you should always make sure to give an introduction with a basic overview of your topic. Comment by User: NOTICE each NEW paragraph is indented 5 spaces Comment by Chris Miller: We never us hyperlinks as in text citations Comment by User: Notice never any additional spaces after you start a new paragraph.

In this area, you will give a background and introduction to the topic. You should provide several paragraphs discussing the issue, how the issue came about or evolved and what key data, demographics and/or statistics are relevant. For example if you are doing a project on long term care you may give a brief background in one paragraph and then in the next few paragraphs you would discuss the key data, such as the aging population.

Key Issues Comment by User: For each new topic ad add a new heading – headings are centered and bold.
USE YOUR OUTLINE topics as your headings and subheadings.

Write about the key issues and specific areas you will analyze for the paper and then cover some of the topics that you discuss.

Issues in Teenage Obesity
Comment by User: Sub headings are new topics that may relate to the main heading – it’s not always that you will use them but in some cases you will.

Throughout the rest of the paper you will use headings such as the one above to organize your paper. Throughout you will start with the main issues and discuss key information. Make sure you apply it to health care, always be ready to discuss the impact the issue has on health care.

Issues in Adult Obesity

This is an example of how to write it out. Adult obesity is much like teen obesity but it can be tougher to treat according to a study by Dr. Jerald Smith of the University of Florida (Smith, 2010). In fact Smith (2010), states that adults are less likely to lose weight once they reach obesity vs. teens. Comment by User: That was a fictional statement but I wanted to show you how to cite a scholarly comment and how to state facts NOTICE NO use of our, we, us, my, I etc…

Recommendations

Using concepts you discussed in the rest of the paper, you may want to provide recommendations for the future. Make sure to use evidence-based literature and published best practices to create recommendations that are insightful and look to the future.

Conclusion

Your paper should have always end with a conclusion. Here you will tie together the key concepts discussed and discuss any assumptions such as barriers, success rates or other pertinent information. Bottom line – summarize it all here. SCROLL DOWN TO SEE REFERENCE PAGE.

References

INCLUDING Annotation
(do not annotate in the final paper – take out your annotations in week3). Comment by Chris Miller: For week 2 only you will write a 1 paragraph overview on how each reference helps advance your paper forward.

It has a lot a data and stats in regards to the valuation process. Comment by Chris Miller: This is an example of how to describe your reference.

Workforce Management and Leadership

Staff management and governance are two vital subsystems within the healthcare system that cannot be underrated since they determine the success, quality, and organization of the health units. As a field, healthcare is rapidly evolving, and the management of the workforce must guarantee the appropriate staffing to cater to the patient care needs while strong leadership in health services propels the creation of efficiency, fosters staff teamwork, and sustains motivation. With this project, different solutions and strategies will be discussed for different factors, which include high turnover, workforce deficit, and burnout. These issues have tremendous impacts on operations and patient satisfaction in healthcare workplaces. To address these issues, some of the best practice solutions include strengthening the strategies employed in workforce planning, integrated recruitment and staff retention, and promotion of a healthy work and staff wellness program. Moreover, the project will focus on the role of different leadership styles and why transformational leadership is the best one when it comes to healthcare. The implementation of an appropriate leadership strategy can create a positive organizational culture, motivate employees, bring continuous change to healthcare organizations, and make them successful organizations.

Rationale

The subject of workforce management and leadership is significant to the healthcare domain since it fosters the operation and strategic functioning of healthcare organizations. Workforce planning ensures there are enough staff, employee’ turnover is minimized, and patient outcomes are improved, While strong leadership promotes innovation, staff satisfaction, and organizational adaptability. Effective management and leadership skills and approaches are critical for the continuous growth of the healthcare sector. It also ensures that all types of resources are being used efficiently.

The issues in the healthcare sector include high turnover, lack of sufficient staff, and staff burnout. For instance, a survey done in 2023 by the American Hospital Association notes that the shortage of the U.S. healthcare workforce could stand at 3.2 million in the year 2026, thus bringing serious problems in the delivery of care (
AHA, 2021). These problems can be solved with the help of leadership approaches like transformational leadership, which provides the conditions for the employees’ work and appeals to the general aims of the organization. This project will explore these challenges and consequently recommend solutions for the enhancement of the strategies and concepts of the workforce healthcare disciplines.
