What points from these videos were particularly relevant and interesting to you? Why?

Do you agree with the concept of hypernorms, or shared core values irrespective of culture or other differences?

How important is it to also identify those values that are personally important to you when you are creating common ethical guidelines for decision making and relationship building?

Using the resources for this unit as well as any other resources you have identified or have worked with, create a values profile. You may include the hypernorms as talked about in the video or only post your personal choices. Talk about the process you used and why you chose that process. Were there any surprises?

Even if you have never created a formal values profile, you have made many decisions based upon them. Can you cite an example where you made a decision that you were satisfied with? Looking back on this decision, were your values utilized?

Think about a situation that will be upcoming that you can identify where you will need to work with others where values can be key to success in this situation? It can be a personal or professional situation. To the degree that you are comfortable, describe this situation, and discuss how you can establish common ground on values.
