I’d like you to watch a film (ie a Hollywood/Blockbuster film) which has a strong antagonist (the bad-guy/gal who represents evil). After watching the film, write up a 1000 word essay that tries to justify the evil characters actions and behaviors as if they were the protagonist (the good guy/gal), and the good-guy is viewed as the bad-guy.
There are already examples of this recently. Malificent and Cruella are both films that look at these classic ‘evil’ characters and demonstrate how these perspectives can actually seem quite justifiable. Discuss how our subjective understandings of good and evil are showcased in the examples made in the movie you selected to analyze.
