Research a minimum of four articles that address the legal and ethical implications for classroom management related to the rights and responsibilities of students, parents, and teachers.

Please look into any issue that you are concerned with or think that you may encounter during your teaching profession. Some examples are bullying, student safety, parent boundaries, students with disabilities, dress code, teacher harassment, obligation to report abuse, teacher responsibilities, parent responsibilities, student responsibilities, parent’s right to information, student’s rights, confidentiality, acceptable discipline, teacher conduct, teacher safety, parent’s rights, freedom of speech, copyright materials, code of conduct….. I will also accept information about current issues (especially if there is one that applies to you) if you relate the information to the rights and/or responsibilities of teachers, students, and parents.

In an essay of 1,250-1,500 words:

 

1. Clearly identify and summarize each article.

 

2. Reflect on what you read in each. How will it make a difference in the way you manage your classroom?

 

Early Childhood Education students should focus on Birth to Age 5/Pre-K and K to Age 8/Grade 3. Elementary Education students should focus on Grades K-8. Secondary Education students should focus on Grades 7-12.
