• After reading Chapter 16, what did  you think of the steps for writing a thesis?   Explain at least one (1)  benefit of using this strategy.
• From Chapter 2, what prewriting  technique do you plan to use to help you write your thesis?  Why have  you selected this prewriting technique? 
• After reviewing the example thesis statement provided in the “Sample Student Essay – Thesis Statement,”  discuss what you noticed about its structure, style, tone, and  placement. Explain whether you found the statement effective or not.  Support your opinion with at least two (2) specific examples.
• After viewing the video in the Instructor Insights for week 2, how prepared do you feel to write your draft thesis this week?
