MI 48033-7496
To Whom It May Concern:
I am interested in serving as an intern for MARS Advertising via the Summer 2014 Internship
Program, an opportunity I learned about through researching the Career Transitions web
resource at my college. My previous internship at a marketing agency as well as other

Management at Normandale Community College where I maintain a 3.6 GPA. I have
successfully completed a variety of business, marketing, and writing courses, including
Introduction to Business, Principles of Marketing, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and
Introduction to Hospitality Management, through which I completed service learning activities
for the Radisson hotel in Minneapolis.
Through my education as well as internship experiences and service learning activities, I have
developed and demonstrated the following skills, which are essential qualities MARS is seeking
for the internship program:
The ability to design and deliver innovative promotional events and materials
A strong understanding of current events and trends in the retail industry
Aptitude in meeting the needs of clients to produce high-quality work on time and under
budget
The ability to work collaboratively in a team to produce projects and perform daily
operational tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Please review the enclosed resume which further highlights my experiences. Furthermore, I
would be glad to show you samples of my work when we can meet in person to discuss how I
can assist MARS as an intern. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
