create a PowerPoint presentation that could be used to convince a building principal/staff that a STEM Lab is needed in your school.

Please include:

1. Define what a STEM Lab or Makerspace is

2. Why the STEM Lab classroom is important and needed

3. How do the activities done in this room fit in with teaching standards and/or building goals?

4. A listing of materials/resources that are needed in the space. Make sure you include items for science, technology, engineering, and math.

5. Clarify if you are asking for funding for the materials/supplies or if you have secured an outside grant  to fund the space. Either way, how much money is needed to open the lab space?

6. Include pictures of elementary STEM Labs from other schools (ie: search for Imagination Stations,  Makerspaces, STEM Spots, etc.)

7. What are you going to name the space?

8. Where is the lab located in the school?

9. How will the room be decorated? (ie: posters, banners, anchor charts, etc.)

10. How will checkout of the room and materials be handled?

11. Who is responsible for the upkeep of the room?

12. What professional development does the staff need to be able to use all of the resources?
