Which concepts presented in this course were most important or beneficial to you, personally and professionally?
You have reviewed Learning Materials that present dystopian vs. Utopian predictions of where the advance of AI will take society. Which view do you believe is the more likely or realistic prediction? Explain.
That robot or AI system could be a teacher of this class you are completing. What if parts of this course were outfitted with an AI system to reply to your emails? What if it was an AI system that was forming those replies and asking you questions for each of the Forum Discussion replies you made? Would you care or mind if such a teacherbot was leading this class and not a human? Would you mind if a teacherbot or AI system “read” your paper and provided corrections to the spelling or suggested a different writing of a sentence? Would you mind if all your grades came from such an AI system, an AI teacherbot? How could you tell if this course was conducted by a teacherbot or a human? Would you expect transparency?
There are codes of ethics in conducting business. And the rules of ethics are being challenged. Is AI heading us toward utopia or dystopia?
So, think about human ethical responsibilities involved in considering how an AI system might be directing your life.
These are issues to be understood and resolved, literally on a daily basis, because AI is moving forward in industries, communications, education, and social interaction.
