Give an example of dissemination of evidence to influence health policy. Provide the Web address and analyze the evidence presented.
DQ 4-2 Response 1
Dissemination of evidence to influence health policy takes a lot of preparing and communicating information effectively.
There are 3 key domains of evidence-based policy and they are process, content, and outcomes (Brownson, Chriqui, & Stamataki, 2009). Step one of processing is to understand approaches to enhance the policy of possibly being adopted, second, is to identify specific policy elements that may possibly be effective and third, the outcome by documenting the potential impact of the policy (Brownson et al., 2009). In order to enforce a policy, effective research and data such as statistics needs to be presented. Quantitative and qualitative evidence can be useful for policymaking and the policy system may vary depending on the structure and scope of the policy (Brownson et al., 2009).

2. In utilizing methods for dissemination of evidence, we can look at the use of different science methods to obtain given bodies of evidence in utilization of practices in healthcare. “Dissemination and implementation (D&I) research seeks to understand and overcome barriers to adoption of behavioral interventions that address complex problems, specifically interventions that arise from multiple interacting influences crossing socio-ecological levels” (Burke, Lich, Neal, Meissner, Yonas & Mabry, 2015). The study basically identifying the utilization of dissemination methods within community health concerns, such as chronic disease prevention and educational intervention. The bottom line out of all of this is when we share research the patient is the beneficiary. Continue doing Christs’ work and the rest of our EVP’s will take care of theirselves.
