Vroom-Yetton Decision-Making Model Sources
Joshua posted
Good afternoon everyone,
After a bit of searching online I have found a website that breaks down and explains the Vroom-Yetton model in decent detail and it easier to understand then the background material. The source is credible, and the information is accurate compared to the source material. The biggest benefit to the website is that it has a better illustrated model of the chart that was provided in the background material. The source is easier to follow in my opinion because it does a better job of explaining the information. The background information was written back in 1973 and since then there has been more time to practice the model. The new source was written more recently in 2007. One of the biggest benefits to the new source is that it addresses downfalls of the model and explains why it is not ideal in every situation, and should not be relied on as a predictor for what decision-making style to use. Overall the source explained the information in a bit of a clearer manner and allowed me to understand the graph and potential issues with the model.
