Page one of your paper MUST follow proper format per the sample of the first page of the MLA paper in the Researching text by Muth. If paper is not properly formatted, 10 points will be deducted. No cover sheet is permitted. You are to answer one of the following questions in an essay of 450-550 words. Points will be deducted if you are under or over that mark. Make sure you have a thesis statement which clearly establishes what you are trying to prove and how you are going to prove it. You need to have a controlling idea and three supportive points: that means you must have a five paragraph essay. Remember this is not a research assignment. I am only interested in your opinion. Do not do research for this essay. Please see the sample outline in the drama and research section of the Learning Modules. Essays must have a specific thesis statement with one controlling idea and three supportive points. An outline is suggested but not required. Do not submit an outline with your final paper. All papers are due Tuesday, April 24 no later than 11:00 P.M. Late papers will not be accepted for this assignment. You must first submit the paper to Turnitin no later than Monday, April 23 at 11 PM. Do NOT miss this deadline. You should be able to see the score but remember it does take a few minutes for the paper to be processed. Your score must be 20% or less and I will be checking your score on the web site. Any paper not submitted to Turnitin will receive a 50 point grade penalty. It is your responsibility to make your deadline. Do not wait until the last minute.
