REQUIREMENTS:
Design a small system for the University of LaVerne. It should:
· Support the information below:
· Assume four departments at ULV, each with 10 – 20 users
· Assume an Administration function with 30 users
· Use the following diagram:

· Remote sites include VAFB (200 students & 15 computers), Athens, Greece (1,000 students & 100 computers), Alaska ( 150 students, 15 computers)
· Plan for equipment: computers, communications, cable, etc
· Address the following: LAN, WAN, etc; topology; protocols; internet?; security; encryption?
· The Computer Labs are in the department building
The project will be graded on completeness, integration of concept, and presentation. Explain why you did what you did in the design. You may want to explain what the alternatives were and why you selected the option you did. If you run into a problem make an assumption and then proceed based on your assumption. Be sure to report your assumptions.
You are not responsible for the computers at the various sites – assume they already exist, you will only connect them.
Put the project together as a proposal to the ULV administration for their implementation. Include costs for equipment and implementation. A proposed schedule for implementation would be nice.
