Computer Science Question

This assignment will comprise of four elements. A Business Research Proposal of your choice relating to Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Cyber Security. This does not have to be longer than one page.

The Major component is the research project essay comprised of multiple different questions from different modules of the class, this will also include the written research essay that relates to whatever topic was chosen for the proposal.

There will also be a PowerPoint presentation component recapping the research essay project.

Finally, there will be a short literature review that relates to the proposal and establishes a connection to the existing research that was completed.

Below I will include what is asked by the professor: Business Research Proposal:

You are to take what you have gained in the course thus far and develop a proposal outlining a business problem, research question, and identify how they relate to technology and innovation. The research topic is your proposal of an agreed upon aspect of Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Cybersecurity. Your Teams Group will submit your written formal proposal on the topic of your interest.

Main Research Project:

This will comprise of different research questions from each module as well as completing the business research question from the proposal. This will all need to be completed in APA Formatting and that outline will be at the bottom of this page. Below is what is asked for by the instructor for the main annotated bibliography. Also, each module adds on to one completed annotated bibliography in the end.

Module 1:

You will be submitting your finished annotated bibliography as part of your final project. Each module will provide a new topic for your annotated bibliography.

For this module each student will provide their own definition of technology and innovation as an introduction to the collaborative annotated bibliography.

Module 2:

For this module you will be annotating resources with regard to the role of Literature Reviews as they relate to your specific topic of research. Start working together in a Team environment to successfully create a literature review for the topic you have selected. Students will submit their contribution to the literature review in this section, which will eventually be placed in the research paper undertaken by the Team.

*This literature review is to be incorporated into the research project, you can make a separate word document for the literature review it does not have to be long it will just establish a connection between the proposal and the research completed for the project. I would recommend doing this later in the research project to make it easier to complete.

Module 3:

For this module you will be annotating resources with regard to Strategies for Locating Related Literature as it relates to your specific topic of research.

Module 4:

For this module you will be annotating resources with regard to The Nature and Role of Data in Research as it relates to your specific topic of research.

Module 5: This module will go back to the initial business research proposal.

Module 6:

For this module you will be annotating resources with regard to Ethics and Morals as they relate to your specific topic of research.

You should research ethics in research and identify how ethics is an important part of research. Identify how they would protect participants.

Module 7:

For this module you will be annotating resources with regard to Analyzing Quantitative Data as it relates to your specific topic of research.

• You will need to locate articles on data collection. From your readings, locate at least 3-6 articles on data collection to add to your research project.

Module 8:

Up to now you have been presented both researched articles and have conducted some research to satisfy your research project requirements. Now it is time to explore what you have learned and apply those skills to searching down articles on Future Trends, Innovation, & Presenting Research.

• Find at least 3 articles and present them to the appropriate submission area.
• It is possible to start with a Google scholar and web search; however, you will need to present your findings and synthesize on where the presented topics are going in the next 10-20 years.

Presentation: This will recap the whole research project effectively, there is no maximum or minimum slide requirement.

Literature Review: This can be short there is no length requirement

Formatting for the research project:

In this activity, students will need to complete an annotated bibliography. The annotated bibliography will need to contain the following:

I. Times New Roman font 12 in

II. Double spaced

III. Cover page with all names listed, assignment title, date, and course name

IV. Team lead must be identified and labelled as such

V. Use of proper APA Font headings and colors

a. Include a page header (also known as the “running head”) at the top of every page. To create a page header/running head, insert page numbers flush right. Then type “TITLE OF YOUR PAPER” in the header flush left using all capital letters. The running head is a shortened version of your paper’s title and cannot exceed 50 characters including spacing and punctuation.

Remember you will be submitting your finished annotated bibliography as part of your final project.

Important aspects of the research project include:

• Description of the research problem addressed in the project.
• Motivations for study of the problem.
• Literature survey of related work.
• Methodology proposed in the project report to study the problem. This section could be used to describe your algorithm, problem solution, experimental techniques, equipment used, experimental set-up, survey methodology etc.
• Experimental results (if any) from the proposed work, and comparison with results from current literature.
• Discussion and conclusions from proposed work.
• Future extensions to proposed work.
