1. Journals Each student will maintain a journal of their individual inquiry in this course. Items that may (read: should) be included in journals are notes from class (demonstrates active participation; listening, reflection, comprehension), personal inquiry into questions, support of answers (from personal queries and/or from those raised in class) using other resources, summary and critique of readings. Strong journals will also include reflection on video segments and other topics introduced during class. Students will submit their journal on 3 occasions over the course of the semester. Grading will be based on the dates associated with the most recent journal submission (e.g., non-comprehensive).
