Canada
When it comes to how Canada shares intelligence with the United States, they operate pretty fluidly. Canada and the United States share the longest international border in the world and so it would make sense that they have mutual interests when it comes to intelligence collection and dissemination. Defense arrangements between these countries are more extensive than with any other due to their efforts of collaborating on addressing threats early, facilitating lawful trade and travel, law enforcement collaboration and promoting resilience (U.S. Department of State, 2019). Canada and the United States are both partners in North Atlantic Treaty Organization s well as the North American Aerospace Defense Command, the two countries work quite fluidly to ensure the security of both countries. With intelligence information there is obviously a line as to what is shared with whom, but “the longest-lasting intelligence collaboration is with the “Five Eyes” group”, this is made up of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (Office of the Director of National Intelligence, n.d.). These countries, while they may keep certain intelligence to themselves, they have dedicated a classification to intelligence that has an impact on any or all of those countries, ensuring they are able to share with one another. Things that these countries provide one another are intelligence on counterterrorism, counter proliferation, cyber, regional challenges, and global coverage (Office of the Director of National Intelligence, n.d.).
