Online reviews are vital for any organization and within the last couple of years are more important than ever. Potential customers are reading online reviews to discern if they should buy a product, hire a company, visit a destination, or eat at a restaurant. Online reviews since the pandemic seem to have an even more important role than ever before.

This week you will do some research about your organization’s online reviews. The review could be anything from an article about the organization to using Yelp or a similar website. You will put together a presentation covering the following:

Commodore, Delorean Motor Company, Woolworths, Kodak.

Depending on your age the names of these businesses may or may not sound familiar to you. The one thing that they all have in common is that they are all businesses that failed in one way or another.

The business world goes through various changes where there is an influx of businesses going under. Many businesses (particularly brick and motor retail stores) have not made it through the Covid-19 pandemic.

Your assignment this week is to explore and explain why businesses fail.
