Building a Better Breakfast with Organizational Structure
For this assignment, your challenge will be to identify and apply concepts introduced in the chapter to the home breakfast industry.
In this exercise, you are on the board of directors of a company that had decided to compete against the breakfast giants such as Kellogg’s and General Mills. You are asked to create an organizational structure that will be able to give a strategy that will be highly competitive. Designing the business structure, determining flexibility needs, and implementing controls and incentives are only a few aspects of this assignment.
You must prepare a 10-slide presentation of the new organizational structure and controls that cover the following topics: stakeholders, agency, governance mechanisms, and ethics. The suggestions must also benefit the stakeholders as much as possible. Critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills will be needed to effectively complete this task as there are many factors to consider.
