Part 1
Every course you take is an investment in the “Business of You.” Take a moment to reflect on what you’ve learned over the last 10 weeks and answer the following:
How will you apply what you have learned in this course in your professional and personal life?
What challenges did you have in this course, and how did you grow from them?
Part 2
Post at least one substantive comment to another student’s post (LaKeisha B.)
The information and concepts learned in this course have broad applications, specifically within personal and professional contexts. Through taking various courses – including the present one – I have gained a greater comprehension of how payment systems are structured. This knowledge will prove to be advantageous in my future role(s) working with Human Resources teams as it allows me to ask appropriate questions relating to compensation structures inside organizations. Beyond signaling value for HR roles, said understanding can benefit me personally by enhancing my ability to negotiate pay that is compatible with my chosen lifestyle.
Time management was the major obstacle that I encountered during this course. As it was my final semester, I became extremely thrilled and procrastinated on most of my assignments, leading to excessive stress and anxiety. In order to combat this issue, I devoted an entire weekend solely to focus on completing tasks for this class. Consequently, not only did I feel less burdened but also accomplished by being able to stay ahead in some of my coursework obligations.
