In what ways are Matthew’s and Luke’s accounts of Jesus’ birth similar? In what ways are they different?
3. John the Baptist is a major character in chapters 1, 3, and 7. List each similarity and difference you notice between John and Jesus.
4. List any ways in which you notice Jesus’ teaching challenging the surrounding cultural views, such as those of wealth, of social status, of gender, or of nationality. You should be able to find a number of passages that you can discuss here.
