Great start! My only concern would be that you are trying to cover too much– restricting your thesis would allow you to be less overwhelmed and actually more effective…in addition, you want have up to date sources- I see 1972 and 1993…to be most effective have something in last decade.
Thanks so much for your hard work,

imately 1000-word (3–4-page) causal analysis essay in response to one of the following prompts:
· Select an image(s) from an electronic source that exemplifies your position on the effect of television in American culture. Your argument should try to show that a cause-and-effect relationship does or does not exist between TV and behavior, or health, intelligence, morality, etc.
· Select an image(s) from an electronic source that you think exemplifies your position on the effect of advertising on American youth. What do advertisements tell young people they should value? Please be sure to follow the Writing Processes guidelines: gather all of your information, plan the direction of your essay, and organize your ideas by developing a 1-page thesis statement and outline for your essay. Format the thesis statement and the outline in a single Word document using current MLA, APA, or Turabian style (whichever corresponds to your degree program). Submit this thesis and outline by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 4 for instructor feedback.
As you compose your essay, be sure to:
· Follow the writing style required by your degree program (MLA, APA, or Turabian).
· Use in-text citations to cite works.
· Integrate at least 4 quotes, 1 summary, and 1 paraphrase into your essay.
· Include a References or Works Cited page containing any and all sources you cite in your paper, including images. You may use 1 or 2 images in your essay to support your argument, but each must not take up more than 1/3 of a page (with 1″ margins), and they will not count in the total page count for the assignment.
· Use the Grading Rubric, Outline Suggestions, and Proofreading Checklist (provided below) to draft and revise your essay.
· Include your thesis statement and outline on a separate page at the end of the document.
· Type your degree program and which style of writing you are using (MLA, APA, or Turabian) in the “Submission Title” field of the SafeAssign link in the module so that your instructor can grade your essay accordingly.
Be sure to cite fully all quotations, summaries, paraphrases, and images. If you fail to give credit for outside material, it will be regarded as plagiarism and will result in a “0” on your essay and possibly course failure.
Please Note: This assignment must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 5 and must include a title page, essay itself, a works cited/references page of any primary or secondary texts cited in the essay, followed by the thesis/outline page.
Proofreading Checklist
Part 1:
Read through your paper and check the appropriate boxes on the chart below. If any area of your paper needs revision, make sure you correct it before submitting your essay. One of the best ways to proofread your writing is to read it backward to forward, sentence-by-sentence. This helps you to see words and ideas you may have missed. Another very successful tool for proofreading is to read your work out loud to someone else. Students often think that handing their paper to someone and asking them to read it is the same thing, but it isn’t. Instead, ask them to listen while you read your own words. You will immediately hear what you missed or want to improve in your writing.

Thesis Statement
The core objective of both the learners and the teachers is to achieve the best out of the learning and teaching process. Teachers focus on giving their best to the students by providing every bit of relevant information to these students. The process of learning is normally run by three different parties with the greatest being the students. Students should show their interest to education and this motivates the teachers to put more efforts in teaching students. Discipline is critical in learning institutions hence the teachers must put efforts in maintaining the required leaning environment.
A good studying atmosphere translates to great results in the instructors since the learners are able to focus in their research. External interference especially from nonacademic problems is the major cause of inadequate performance in schools as it decreases the concentration level in their studies. The major distracters normally emanate from student’s home especially in areas with domestic problems and the learners extend this to their school matters. This takes much of enough time assigned for educational problems and learners have little to cover by the end of the studying period. This results to inadequate performance in instructors interfering with the educational progress in the learning institutions. A bad leaning atmosphere has effects on the instructors as they invest much period of time in trying to put some order in the school. Indiscipline among the learners affects the expected studying atmosphere and the learners are also unable to focus in their research. Teachers invest some period of time in solving the process of indiscipline among the learners. (Edward, 1999).
Different terms can be used to describe a well educated person but it mainly depends on what the person is able to produce out of the knowledge obtained. Quality education depends on the surroundings in which the learning is offered (Altmaier, 2003). This environment constitutes both the learners and the education facilitators. A well good network between these two bodies will produce graduates with quality education. The major aim of education is to give the society a ground of improvement by producing competent people. These people can be said to be well educated if they are able to produce what they have learnt and make it applicable in life (Edward, 1999).
In order to make the education system effective to the learners, a joint effort between the learners and the facilitators is required. The learners must show cooperation to their teachers and this will motivate the facilitators to offer more in the education matters (Jackson, 2003). This is aimed at creating a favorable environment in the learning institutions consequently giving good results. Learners are expected to create interest in what they are being taught to make it possible to capture information from the teachers. In order to create a favorable environment in the learning institutions, all stakeholders are expected to cooperate in solving any issues that may arise. A favorable learning environment will enable students to concentrate in their studies hence improving their performance (Edward, 1999).
A good learning environment is also facilitated by the education facilitators who are entitled to giving of information to the learners. The teachers are expected to observe the behaviors of the students and make sure they conform to the expected code of conduct. This entails a strict follow up of the students by correcting them whenever they go wrong in their daily undertakings. The students must be forced to stick to the school rules and regulations which dictate on how they should behave in the school (Edward, 1999). Discipline is vital in carrying out any activity and this applies mainly in the learning institutions. Well behaved students show good performance in their academics than those who are involved in indiscipline matters. Indiscipline affects learning by a great extent by consuming the time allocated for learning.
Another body that is expected to ensure a good learning environment is the school administration in collaboration with the teachers. Besides keeping a close watch over the students, the school administration is responsible for providing the required resources for learning (Cizek, 2001). Learning materials should be provided in advance before the learning commences to ensure that the time allocated for learning is not wasted (Edward, 1999). This contributes to the maintenance of a favorable learning environment and good performance is produced out of this commitment.
The school leaders must collaborate with the teachers in overseeing a smooth learning g process. Communication between the two bodies is vital in bringing the issues affecting education to the table. Teachers are in contact with the students for longer times than the school administrators hence are able to tell what the students need in order to better their education. Good communication within a learning institution ensures that the issues hindering the smooth flow of learning are discussed and solved. This will lead to an improved performance as students are able to concentrate in their studies (Edward, 1999).
The learning process includes the passing of information from the education facilitators to students who act as the recipients. For a smooth flow of information between the two bodies, a well structured communication framework is required in the school (Clark, 2004). Teachers play the biggest role in maintaining this smooth communication between them and the learners. Good communication builds a favorable learning atmosphere which facilitates learning activities. Students will feel free to speak out their issues and get help from their teachers leading to a friendly learning environment. A favorable learning environment contributes to an improvement in education by facilitating interaction among the students (Edward, 1999).
The students have a big role to play in facilitating learning and benefit from the system and this can be achieved by sticking to the school rules. This will reduce the time spent in solving issues arising for students’ indiscipline in schools. This time can be transferred to learning thereby improving performance in the academics. More time should be allocated to studies so that the students can cover wide areas and have time to make corrections in areas they make mistakes (Edward, 1999). Good interaction between the teachers and the students will encourage the students to seek assistance in areas they face difficulties. This will greatly transform the performance of students and lead to improvement in the performance.
Teacher should also create a positive attitude which will motivate the students to participate in the learning process. Students should always be encouraged to work hard in their studies especially those who show poor performance in the academics. Teacher scan allocate private time outside the class program to cater for the poor performers and this will raise their spirit towards education. This contributes to a positive learning environment that is vital in working for good results (Edward, 1999).
A good studying environment should be managed especially by monitoring the school guidelines. The school management should work together with the instructors in maintaining the predicted sleek studying environment. The students are also advised to observe the set school guidelines in order to keep the required self-discipline for sleek studying.
