• The first thing you should decide when to argue is a thesis. It is your opinion. You are arguing for or against anything. An example of thesis is: lower the minimum age at Alcoholic stores. Healthier food in lunch room (room)! Increase staffing levels at school! Abolish grades!

• When you have decided on a thesis, it’s time to come up with arguments for your opinion. It is important that the arguments are relevant. If you write about the age limit on the system, it is appropriate to say that the legal adult age is 18 and it is logical that we should buy out when one is seen as an adult under the law or that you get to buy alcohol at restaurant when you’re 18. However, it is not appropriate to say that it is when you are young you need cheap alcohol and that it is too expensive to buy in the pub until they are 20.

• If you collect arguments for an oral debate or a debate article needs also counter-arguments. This means that you put into what the opposing side think and think. It has made it easier to respond to the opposing side with its own arguments.

• Also keep out examples that can make your argument clearer. There may be things that you been through myself or stories about others.

• Please use authoritative sources in this area. It increases your credibility and proving your reasoning.
