Analysis

Prepare a two-page analysis of your findings, showing what is similar and what is different between the American and French revolutions. You will use your Venn diagrams to help you complete this analysis. The key thing is to explain whether, in the documents you examined, the differences are less important than the similarities.

 

You will be asked to explain whether you think the Americans will most likely join France and why or why not. (It is okay if you express a different opinion here than you did in the newspaper article.)

 

Your essay should be formatted according to MLA guidelines, and include a Works Cited page at the end (not included in the page count).

 

Within the essay you should have a clear thesis statement in the introductory paragraph and should include support from your research in the body paragraphs.

All information used from research must be documented using appropriate MLA parenthetical reference to the sources listed on the Works Cited page.
