A little info to personlize it:

  I am English teacher an all girls bi-lingual school in south america. I teach in grades 3-6. For this assigment you can say something about learning languages in general(this deals with memorization. You’ll see what I mean when you look at the attached document. You MUST provide cuotes from the book. My teacher is a hard ass and wants to know you have really synthesized the material. 

     

As you learned from reading the chapters over the past few weeks, memory is a complex construct.

 

Understanding how our memories work and that it is necessary to “link” past knowledge with new concepts/skills will help you be an efficient and effective lesson planner.

 

THE QUESTIONS OF THE WEEK:

Depending on the grade level and subject that you’re interested in teaching, consider for what kinds of purposes or tasks, and how extensively, you might make use of each of the following with your students. Offer examples of when and how each could be used and why you would choose it.

 

(1) Declarative, procedural, and/or conditional knowledge (you don’t need to offer examples of each, but can discuss one that you consider especially relevant)

(3) Helping students develop metacognitive skills (consider this from an age-appropriate perspective)

 

(4) What are your thoughts about the KWL chart and LINCING?

The Woolfolk book should be used to bolster your answers for 1-3.  Make sure you cite the book source when answering 1-3.  Question 4 may stand alone without citation or with a link you find on the internet. .
