    Project Scoping Outline
The hypothetical project that I intend to work on will last 4 months, thus providing a
product, service, or result to the people and organization, is the project on developing a health
mobile application for the management of chronic conditions. Therefore, the mobile
application will be developed with the aim of helping patients and organizations on managing
chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. The project will take a duration of 4
months for development with different team members or stakeholders involved. The main goal
of the project is to provide a mobile user-friendly application or platform for healthcare
organizations and patients in monitoring health, provide consultation, receive medication
    reminders, and enable telehealth communication.
    Approach to Project Management
The project is a hybrid approach project based on the combination of different elements
    of predictive and agile methodologies.
Reasons for selecting the Hybrid Approach
One of the main reasons for choosing the hybrid approach is due to its adaptability and
flexibility by allowing iterative adjustments and development regarding the feedback of the
user and changes in needs and requirements (Tolbert & Parente, 2020).
The second reason is due to the structured planning that offers a precise timeline and
roadmap, which is critical for meeting the standards of regulations within the sector of
    healthcare.
The third reason for choosing the hybrid approach is based on its effectiveness in the
management of risk by enabling the early recognition of risks, thus mitigating the risks through
    continuous reviews and updates.
    3
The fourth reason is that the hybrid approach promotes the involvement of all the
stakeholders in the management of the project (Tolbert & Parente, 2020). This implies
facilitating the continuous engagement and communication of the stakeholders, which makes
certain of the alignment with the changing needs and desires.
The fifth reason for choosing the hybrid approach is quality assurance, which implies
making certain high standards for the project’s quality through iterative validations and tests at
different development levels. Therefore, it makes certain of the high-quality product or service
    or results to the customers.
    Evaluation of the Approach
The approach will work with the organization based on the value of the organization in
terms of advancement and the experiences with different management methodologies, such as
traditional and agile. Furthermore, the hybrid approach is well-aligned with the objectives and
goals of the organization based on balancing advancement with quality and adherence.
    Expectations from the Project Sponsor
Initially, the role of the sponsor is offering strategic direction and making certain of
alignment with the goals and mission of the organization. Furthermore, the sponsor mainly
facilitates the ease of access to project resources and prevents any barriers hindering the
progress. Therefore, the expectation of the sponsor is the timely delivery of a quality, userfriendly, and functional mobile application. Furthermore, the sponsor expects compliance with
the constraints of timeline and budget as well as with the regulation and standards on data
privacy within the sector of healthcare.
    4
    Expectations for Deliverables
The sponsor has different expectations for the deliverables, such as the functional
application, continuous status updates and reports, integration with existing healthcare systems,
user training and documentation resources, and final project evaluation and report.
    Project Objectives
The main objective of the project is to promote patient involvement by offering tools
to the patient for active management of their well-being and compliance with plans of
treatment. Furthermore, the project is aimed at improving health results by utilizing data
analytics on monitoring the progress of patients and intervening early enough when required.
In addition, the project is aimed at promoting effective communication between the healthcare
    providers and patients through telehealth.
