Applications Paper Guidelines

This assignment gives you the opportunity to apply at least two (2) of the Management and Organizational Behavior (MOB) concepts covered in class and the textbook to situations or scenarios illustrated in a film (e.g., at least two concepts for one film) or two films (e.g., at least one concept for each film). Feel free to use many course concepts if you would like. Grading will be based on your thorough demonstration of your knowledge of the course concepts, and the appropriate application of those concepts to broadly defined organizational dilemmas, problems, or situations depicted in films). I am very flexible with your choice of film(s).

The paper will be a minimum of six (6) pages and a maximum of eight (8) pages. The paper must be double-spaced, in a 12pt font. Please keep in mind that the paper is due on Monday, May 13th at

Your grade will be reduced by one letter grade for every twenty-four hour period (or portion thereof) it is late.

Your paper will also be graded on spelling, grammar, writing clarity, and English usage as well as content. If you feel weak in your writing skills, be sure to have someone proof your assignment before you turn it in. You might also consult Charles T. Brusaw’s The Business Writer’s Handbook for further guidance.

Finally, be forewarned that students frequently get into trouble when they put blind faith in their spell- and grammar-checkers.

Using a plot summary of a show or movie is NOT allowed. Once I have a tutor set I will send you the textbook link for my class and you will have full access to do whatever concept you would like to do, and I would prefer that you do it based on a movie in English that you have already watched and remember, or just use two separate episodes of “The Office” the US version.
