List at least five reasons why you are choosing franchising rather than starting a new, independent business.

Identify challenges you need to be aware of as a franchisee.

Make a list of possible advantages and disadvantages of the franchise you are considering.  What are your rights and your obligations as a franchisee?

I. Introduction:  What is the Project about?  What is the purpose?  What do we need to learn from the Project?

II. General Discussions:What are the elements of a Business Plan as stated below:

1. Executive Summary – Give the Mission Statement e.g. To Provide Quality Education to the Society.  Briefly introduce or describe the opportunity you may have to serve or sell to society, how you will achieve this, looking at the product you intend to sell or services you intend to provide, management team, and market strategy.

2. Company Description:  Name and address of your business, description of what your company can dofor the public, explain the competitive advantages that will make your company successful in the industry that you have chosen.

3. Market Analysis:  Look at what other businesses in the industry that you have chosen are doing and see how you can perform better.

4. Organization and Management:  How is your business going to be structured?  What level of management will be running the company?  Are you a Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, or a Corporation?

5. Service or Product Line:  Describe what product you intend to sell or service you intend to provide.

6. Marketing and Sales: What are your strategies in capturing the market?
