Chapter 2 in your text talks about values-based leadership, ethical challenges that managers may face and the importance of ethics in management.
Although not discussed in detail in chapter 2, some core ethical values include:
- Integrity – exercising good judgment in professional practice
- Honesty – truthfulness
- Respect
- Responsibility
- Fidelity – faithfulness to clients
- Kindness

Many of you may be familiar with the book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Her story raises many ethical issues. For SWA #1: HELA, we will examine briefly the impact of values and ethics applied to the story of Henrietta Lacks. I have provided links to a couple of articles that you will need to read, in order to complete the assignment.
